ZENONIA 1 Walkthrough: Ayles to Osiris, Seal by Seal
How this walkthrough works
ZENONIA 1 is linear: one continent, five seals, two paths that meet again at the end. This page gives the route, the level targets and the boss prep; per-boss tactics live on the bosses page and every region on the areas page. Level targets come from the 2010 community walkthrough (Droid Gamers, originally from the Gamevil forums) and Steam players confirm the restoration did not rebalance enemies.
Chapter 1: Ayles and Adonis (levels 1 to 12)
Covered step by step in the beginner guide: Ayles errands, Slimes and Spin Bugs in East Ayles, seven Mukaka in Garlic Lake, the Cori tree, exile, and the alignment choice in Adonis Forest. Aim for level 8 before the tree and about level 12 before the cave.
Chapter 2: Seal of Deceit (Cave of Deceit)
Two nymphs, Langue and Parole, argue outside and enter with you; they translate the seal text. The cave is block puzzles and undead. The boss room holds Pale, who heals and summons zombies until you push three rocks onto three switches. After the seal breaks, one nymph leaves depending on your path (Langue stays with good, Parole with evil).
Level here until fights feel comfortable; grinding the cave’s enemies also fills your potion budget.
Chapter 3: Hades and the Seal of Despise (levels 20 to 30)
The road north goes into snow country. Hades has an inn (Dark Merchant 21:00 to 23:00) and a bridge guarded by the Letter Carrier mini-boss, whose sword combo kills a low-CON character in two or three hits. Sun catches up with you here and learns she is Regret’s adoptive sister.
The Seal of Despise is the first alignment-locked boss: Vicious if you are good, Vague if you are evil. Save at the door, bring potions, and hold your SP for the second half of the fight.
Chapter 4: Chronos, the Seal of Greed and Libra Oasis (levels 30 to 42)
Chronos is the ice town (Dark Merchant 24:00 to 2:00). The Seal of Greed has no boss; it is a long dungeon where the walls and the hunger clock are the enemy. Buy a Magic Candle if the dark rooms slow you down.
Libra Oasis in the desert (Dark Merchant 20:00 to 22:00) is the mid-game hub: side fields, the Oasis Dungeon (the Desert Rain achievement is for revealing every path in it), and a letter for Sun warning Regret to be careful. Griffins around here are the community’s favourite grinding spot for levels 45 to 48 because they come in small, well-spaced groups.
Chapter 5: Seal of Betrayal and Ghost of Ladon (levels 42 to 50)
The bridge fight against the Ghost of Ladon is the wall most first runs hit. Go in at 42, 46 or 49, the levels where new armor sets become wearable, with 60% Potion Extracts and several Origins of Life. The fight is positional; the tile-by-tile pattern is on the bosses page.
After the seal: the fat enemies past the dialogue trigger (well spaced for one-on-one fights) and the wraith knights both drop silver armor and carry you to level 50.
Chapter 6: Leo and the Seal of Shame (levels 50 to 60)
Leo is the southern capital (Dark Merchant 1:00 to 3:00), home of Lady Charity and the Holy Knights. Buy a Magic Candle before the Shrine of Shame; the spiders and books inside are fast experience, and an XP scroll here is worth its price. Dogs and wraiths in the deeper rooms have ranged attacks, so Assassins in particular should retreat to the spiders if their gear lags.
The boss is alignment-locked again: Virulent (good), who turns into a level 70 dragon, or Lady Charity (evil). Winning unlocks the Archangel ultimate for every class.
Chapter 7: Canyon of Despair, Ladon and Osiris (levels 60 to 68)
Skip the ranged knights on the way to Ladon’s cave; the guardian swords are the better farm and drop Triton swords for gold. Ladon is easier than his ghost: wait for the purple head phase and unload. Immediately after, the Whirl of Despair and Osiris, who reveals that Regret’s own power killed his father Dupre. Break both hands, hit the head, repeat.
Endings
The good and evil paths produce different final scenes (Lady Charity forgives Regret and makes him captain of the knights on the good path; the evil path ends in anger and loss). Both ending achievements sat below 1% two days after launch. After the credits the game reloads before Ladon; there is no post-game, so a second character is the only way to see the other ending.
